Spoil yourself with Afternoon Tea on the lawn!

Although the weather may be ‘unsettled’ this summer, on those days when the sun does peep out from behind the clouds, it’s the perfect time to treat yourself to afternoon tea on the lawn at Arbor, the 2-AA Rosette restaurant at the Green House Hotel, Bournemouth’s most eco-friendly luxury boutique hotel.

With us, afternoon tea is a grand affair, but in a relaxed setting. All the delicious bites we serve are prepared fresh to order and arrive at your table on a three tiered wooden tree (Arbor is Latin for tree!). We bake our goodies fresh every day, and your scones will be served warm from the oven. Delicious!

Here at the Green House, we take our tea Very. Seriously. Indeed. As you would expect from the 2015 nationwide winner of the Sustainable Restaurant Association’s Environmental Award, we select only suppliers who put quality above quantity, and who source their tea ethically and sustainably.

Arbor afternoon tea is £18.50 per person and includes:

• Traditional finger sandwiches with fillings such as smoked salmon, egg & cress, cheese and ham.
• Freshly baked fancies such as carrot cake, chocolate fudge brownie, flapjacks and rocky road.
• Warm homemade chocolate chip and traditional scones, Dorset clotted cream & Strawberry Fields Foods preserve.
• A choice of tea – choose from our range of ”Dorset Tea”, herb and green teas or the more traditional Earl Grey or breakfast tea.

To make it a really special occasion, you could even treat yourself with a bottle of Bollinger Special Cuvee NV Champagne (£68.00), or Furleigh Estate Blanc de Blanc English sparkling wine (£46.00), made in our own fair county with only Dorset grapes.

Afternoon tea is available daily on the lawn at Arbor from 12pm until 5 pm. We look forward to seeing you soon – weather permitting! Of course, if the sun doesn’t oblige, we serve afternoon tea indoors too, in relaxed but stylish surroundings.
